This virtual course is designed to equip participants with the essential knowledge and skills needed to conduct effective internal audits of Quality Management Systems (QMS) based on the ISO 9001:2015 standard.   

  

Our engaging and interactive training sessions delve into core principles of the ISO 9001:2015 Quality Management System, providing learners with an understanding of its requirements and application in real-world scenarios.  Through a blend of teaching, group activities and dynamic class discussions, learners will acquire the necessary internal auditing skills to assess the effectiveness of their organizations QMS.  The requirements of ISO 19011:2018 Guidelines for auditing management systems will be used as the foundational requirements for internal audits.

  • Understanding the ISO 9001:2015 Quality Management System 

  • The four phases of an internal audit:  Planning, Preparation, Performing the Audit and Reporting/Verification 

  • Building a foundation around fundamental organizational process 

  • Maintaining a “big picture” perspective during internal audits 

  • Testing the effectiveness of each process to optimize organizational outputs 

  

Our expert instructors guide participants through each phase of the internal audit process, emphasizing practical application and value-added auditing techniques.  Classroom lecture is seamlessly integrated with hands-on workshops, ensuring that participants grasp the nuances of internal auditing and can apply learned concepts directly within their organizations. 

  

Participants are encouraged to bring a copy of their ISO 9001:2015 standard to the training session for reference and practical application.

Upon registration, you will receive an email with instructions on how to access the training course through NSF’s eLearning portal. Any additional information pertaining to the course will be sent in your confirmation email. 

You will find your course material and homework/exam on the NSF Learner portal. You will need to access the portal in order to successfully complete the course and print your certificate. Upon successful course completion, you will gain access to print your official NSF Certificate.

Prerequisite(s):  A solid understanding of the ISO 9001:2015 version of the standard is essential for participation in this course.

  1. Plan an internal audit and develop the audit checklist 

  1. Apply tools and techniques to perform an internal audit of your QMS

As an Association for Continuing Education and Training (IACET) Accredited Provider, NSF Training and Education offers CEUs for its programs that qualify under the ANSI/IACET Standard. NSF Training and Education is authorized by IACET to offer the number of CEUs below for this program.
